How BabyNerd Makes Money
BabyNerd is a free resource for parents. We keep it free by earning a small commission when you purchase products through the links on our site. This page explains exactly how that works.
Amazon Associates Program
As an Amazon Associate, BabyNerd earns from qualifying purchases.
BabyNerd is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
When you click a product link on BabyNerd and make a purchase on Amazon, we may receive a small percentage of that sale. This happens at no additional cost to you — the price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to Amazon.
Other Affiliate Partnerships
In addition to Amazon, BabyNerd may earn commissions from the following types of partners:
- Subscription box services — including but not limited to Lovevery, KiwiCo, and Monti Kids
- Educational app subscriptions — including but not limited to Homer, Khan Academy Kids, and Kodable
- Book retailers — including but not limited to Bookshop.org
- Other product retailers — when we link to products on retailer websites that offer affiliate programs
Each of these partnerships works the same way: if you click our link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
How This Affects Our Recommendations
It doesn’t. Our editorial opinions are our own. We only recommend products we have personally used with our three kids or that we have thoroughly researched and genuinely believe in.
We will never recommend a product solely because it pays a higher commission. If we think something isn’t worth your money, we’ll say so — even if it has an affiliate program. If we love something that doesn’t have an affiliate program, we’ll still recommend it.
Our testing process, ratings, and opinions are never influenced by whether a product offers an affiliate commission.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
Every page and post on BabyNerd that contains affiliate links includes a disclosure notice near the top of the content. You’ll see a brief statement letting you know that the page includes affiliate links before you encounter any product recommendations.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). We believe in full transparency about how BabyNerd generates revenue.
